CrapBox™, I choose you!

The CrapBox™ is the name I gave to my old IBM-PC, a rather unstable 400MHz Celeron / 128MB SDRAM / 12GB (3GB + 9GB) HDD(s) / Nvidia GeForce Pro..well you get the jist, it's rather showing it's age; my father for sometime has been hassling me to fix it up so he can use it for 'Net access, and printing stuff (via our new wireless printer) for his shop; what else is a geek to do?

A Tux Resurrection!

Can I get an aaaaaaaamen?

I chose the Xandros distro, for it's nice Windows compatibility (not to mention interface mannerisms), which in many ways outperform Linspire (formerly Lindows); everything went well, and performance is quite nicely on the swift side of things, only thing left to do is..give it a mouse?

Uh huh, 5 spare systems lying about the place, and not a spare mouse in the house! (This is turning into a bad Christmas rhyme.)

Finally found one from an old system my father brought home from his shop, a rather shoddy example of rodent-like devices, but it'll do for the time being, let the fun continue..

Resurrection ala Tux

Posts are slow tonight while Darren uses my PowerBook and I attempt to bring an old computer back to usefulness using linux. Oh the joy!

Moblog: Sent from my *Nokia 7650*.

And you wonder why..

And you wonder why I'm sometimes a little unresponsive?

My work (and pay to be frightfully honest) load tends to build up during the day (every day that is), despite my really having bugger all to do in the long term (job anyone?)
