Oh dear, not again..
Buses can be rarely comfortable places when there's bugger all on board and you've got one of the nice pensioner/disabled/pram seats at the front..the gentle swaying of the bus as the driver decides to rocket over every sleeping policeman he can find on the road in order to try and make it back to station and get an early night...when combined with a well equipped iPod, can lead to a very dangerous state, known as sleep.
Yes, that's right, during the 10 minute ride from Andrea's down to my house, I managed to fall asleep, and subsequently miss my stop; well, my timing was as ever impeccable, opening my firmly closed eyes at just the right point to see the bus stop go WOOSH, right by..speed of light..engage your engines..please have correct change..out of here; not too bad a turn of events, if not for the fact in their glorious and most infallible wisdom, those bastions of governing power and utter intellectual magnitude, Hull City Council, have decided to create a long string of closely placed bus stops along the top end of Holderness Road, of which the bus directly across from my house is the last one in this fine lineage of bus stops, after which there is a rather unusual gap almost 4-5 times that of the previous gaps.
In other less verbose terms: I got stuck with a night time walk back to my house because I'm a lazy git who falls asleep on buses.
And for those who hadn't guessed it yet, this is another post in my line of "when the hell am I going to run out of useless things to talk about, and does my arsenal look big in these pants?" posts.

Keynote, minus the konfabulations
Just got round to watching the WWDC keynote from last week, reality distortion field or not, some of the technologies previewed for Tiger blow me away, especially when demo'd, there's not comparison; Image Core, kernel enhancements from the FreeBSD v5.xx branch, new Xcode, and the new Spotlight meta-data search technology (which at first seems like something the amazing LaunchBar (one of my all time favourite apps for OS X) does, but after a demo, it's light years beyond) in themselves are enough to justify an upgrade to Tiger upon release.
Bring on 2005.
Time sharing?
When the hell did it get so late in the day?
I was only out the door to have breakfast with Andrea at 10am, we couldn't have spent that much time in town could we?
Note to self: things that need improving on this site..
-
The "currently doing.." sidebar is a little buggered up in places, and needs some heavy revision in others.
-
My playlist needs replacing with an export of my iTunes library
-
My timetable needs replacing by my online iCal calendars.
-
My design needs updating from tables for layout to CSS, and the general look and feel to be a little more professional.
Oh I really shouldn't have made the mistake of going outside just now..light and pollen are like a double attack.
Bedtime Tooth Massacre
It's bedtime after a long hard night of pure procrastination, and the task of tooth care..only I think rather than consuming copious amounts of caffeine during the night, I should have consumed all before brushing my teeth, so as to be awake enough not to butcher them to death with my toothbrush..ow.
