I've only just managed to finish reading through all my unread e-mails, off-line private messages, and news feeds, I'm thinking I need to manage my time more efficiently.
Still have to take the Christmas decorations (well, the tree basically) down tomorrow, especially now that the 12^th^ night has passed.
As I've stated before, I'm very much enjoying the Mac experience, out of interest here's a screenshot of my current desktop; the wallpaper is of a puffin, for Andrea's benefit. ;)
Speaking of my Mac desktop, and how it looks, you may notice a rather odd light blue sphere parked in the dock bar (for the uninitiated it's like the taskbar and start menu in Windows, but more useful), sat snugly between my text editor (SubEthaEdit) and FTP client (Transmit) of choice; this icon didn't always look like that, it's the icon for program called CVL, or Concurrent Versions Librarian, a tool for using CVS on my laptop to keep track over various bits of code I'm working on, that I modified into this blue orb using a very handy program called Viou.
For an illustration of why I did this, I show you exhibit A, the original CVL icon as it appeared in the dock; not bad in itself, but at higher resolutions it just doesn't cut it (to say it looks like it fell out of the fugyly tree and hit each branch on the way down would be a slight exaggeration, but not much), thus the overhaul displayed in exhibit B.
I've been getting a lot of feedback regards the hackHull? wardrive on Saturday (or warwalk as is more befitting the circumstances), especially from fellow comp sci students at uni, if anyone else has any interest in the event please don't hesitate to either contact me via e-mail (or if you know through any other method such as IM), or a member of hackHull?, for details and the like.
