Installing Perl 5.6.x on WinXP under TINYWEB, and its times like these, having to go over some basic Perl CGI, that I feel like a newbie again. Up and running so should be able to make a few extra interactions between the site and the ol' vamptop.
Unreal Tournament 2003 is released tonight (Friday that is, for me and the site its now Saturday morning), it looks amazing (from screenshots, demo still isn't publicly available, but its completely confirmed for tonight now), but I doubt the Radeon card on this laptop would take.

I wish I could boot up the ancient UberBox and play it through the better G3 card in it, but then its now vastly becoming a CrapBox2 (or Super-CrapBox), and all because of fucking case problems, typical.

I want a *nix server again, thinking of renting a cheap FreeBSD co-lo again just for hosting sites and messing about. A decent bit of bandwidth can be rented for a reasonable price these days, its just working out the monthly costs. I'm gonna have to look at this at some point in the future, its just with recent credit purchases and the DSL line things aren't in the best of positions for a server venture.
Doesn't mean I'm not bloody tempted, my old BOfH ambitions are resurfacing.
