Busy weekend coming up

Have hackHull? coming up this Friday, going to cinema on Sunday, and the Computer Science Social the following Monday; busy indeed; the CS social this Monday promises to be the first of many meetings for a new CS Society being setup by several of the students, with contents, meetings, student-ran lectures etc., it could be very interesting (and help to absolve some of the mind-numbing boredom evident in doing things I find old-hat and tedious from years past); I fancy putting some talks on myself, and maybe getting some coding teams together for software projects other than rubbish little object examples in Java.

I'm attempting to get a few students to turn up to hH? this month, but it'll only prove successful if a fair few regulars turn up as well, which is yet to be seen (recent turn-outs have been thin on the ground to say the least, but with several confirmations from fellow students and efforts by hH? reg's that trend may yet be turned around).

As for Sunday, hoping to go see The Last Samurai, while being a Tom Cruise film (please excuse the gagging, I try to keep it to a minimum, but his acting abilities bring such actions out from me), it actually looks rather good, and with excellent reviews online from people I respect regards Japanese-related paraphernalia, I have high hopes; that is of course unless we miss it, like we did Kill Bill Vol 1, after weeks of wanting to see the movie, and missing out on it to see rather sub par choices instead, when we finally tried to go see it, it had been bumped into twilight zone showtimes, ergo. the 8pm and 9pm showings, which are anything but convenient times for getting to and from a cinema, especially in Hull.

I just hope we'll be able to see it on DVD, before Vol 2's release!

I really should be working on the craploads of coursework I have for uni, but I just can't bring myself to be arsed; programming I can do the night before hand-in, crappy MS Access work I'll just cram one night staying late at uni, and the one essay I have to do is a piece of piss compared to anything I had to do for A Level English, or GCSE English for that fact; however, it won't get done at all if I don't find just the smallest fleck of motivation between now and next week.
