Moving on..

Been an interesting weekend.

So far it looks like my attempts to change the current state of affairs at the University will fall on flat ears, although there is some possible light at the end of the tunnel, I will keep at it, or as I said before, move out.

I've been making do, including setting up some filesharing facilities to my fellow students on the network, using an HTTP-to-FTP transport for updating a few things on the server (can't stand having no SSH access), using shudder MSN Messenger 6 of all things, and posting to the Department of Computer Science forum; I'm so far frustrated by there being no existing Freenode IRC server accessable via SSL (as I've been experimenting using 'stunnel` to extend my capabilities behind this high fence I find myself in).

Saw Andrea a lot today, and on the way back from my house stopped off at home to get some more Pepsi Max™ (coding for Programming 1 this week took up most of it), and found myself incredibly home sick from seeing my father and the dogs; none of this helps either; even seeing my ADSL modem sitting on the floor unconnected stabbed at me.

On the bright side, my father actually agreed with me about The Lawns, that I shouldn't have come here, and that the current situation just won't do, he also discussed some alternatives with me; my biggest worry is that this will either end in my being ~£1,400 out of pocket, or nothing actually happening at all, other than a stern pat on the head from everyone involved.

I'm very close to completing the next GFB strip, and it will be up as soon as some extra vectoring and dialogue are added.
