Busy and bewildered

Things have flown by a bit as of late, sometimes seems as if I've had no time to update the site, while in truth it's more a case of my just not feeling as if I really want to.

It's a common problem with the medium referred to as the "weblog" in that while you may have lots to say, more often than not you just can't be bothered to say it, which is inordinately linked to the very act of having gone through, observed, or done several things; the flip side is that when you have very little to say, you have large spurts of lucidity, in that you say a lot, mean very little, and are in fact being nothing more than plain gobby.

Weird old week this, not been up to much by way of uni work as am in the middle of exams (had 2 ghastly ones last week, and 2 more coming up the next); spent Monday on a little daytrip with Andrea and her parents, where I discovered I find birds more interesting when roasted and on a plate with some potato and veg, but I did get to see a real live puffin for the first time (and not in the form of a plush toy, statue, or website), and had a lovely day with Andrea.

Not done much else, apart from some chilling with my better half and Damian yesterday, and shopping today.

I seem to be in a terminal spiral of technological disasters as of late, with the power supply on my PowerBook becoming almost-but-completely-FUBAR (I've so far gone through 4 adapters in 2 weeks as each one failed along with the PSU, and while the best option is to get it repaired at an authorised Apple repair place, I'm waiting until after exams and paid work is mostly over, during the lull before summer sets in), I've lost a Playstation 2 memory card (which resulted in my first and only game of The Punisher (more on the game later) being kept running on the PS2 for nearly 72 hours straight..with a gap between another 24 hour straight session), had a GPS aerial for my new GPS delivered but found to be a-very-just-slightly-minutely wrong connector (it has a very small ridge which stops it from connecting), filled my external hard drive without even trying, been completely unable to properly install several utilities (mod_python being the most annoying) on my Mac, and more annoyingly still, very little of the above looks to be resolved (apart from the memory card, Andrea bought me a new one, ain't she great) in the near future.

Oh well, on the bright side, it's the End of Year Ball next week, and I really like my new suit. ;)

(And no, I didn't pick it, that would imply I had taste.)
