Not home and away, just home

If you see me on MSN Messenger and want to talk, message me first, if you don't get an auto-response (and in fact might get an immediate response off me) then I'm not actually away, it's just a new bug in the latest version of Proteus, my Mac OS X IM app of choice (and a rather annoying bug I might add, it's made me contemplate moving over to using Adium or Fire, but I prefer the slick Proteus interface).

BitTorrent: the extended domain

BitTorrent in effect is nothing more than an extended DNS architecture, allowing for more flexible and intelligent addressing and routing of information.

Blaming a tracker for addressing data is downright hypocritical considering Network Solutions and ICANN haven't even had a wiff of blame for the tonnes of illegal uses the entries in their database(s) are exploited for every day.

What happened to the goals of extending and improving upon the architecture that drives ye-olde-Internet?

Technology such as this often eclipses the semantic web, merely because of it's current uses, as opposed to the semantic web's oft purely theoretical possibilities!

State of the art?

I think Tim Bray is smoking crack, I've never had a single problem accessing anything via the keyboard, considering I use a PowerBook is almost a necessity when you want to avoid using the one buttoned trackpad when I'm carrying it about without the MS trackball I use at home, I can literally do anything without touching the trackpad, except possibly direct GUI input such as drawing shapes on-screen or the like.
