Abstract my arse!
Just going over some revision material for tomorrow (Programming 2 exam that I missed back in March), and I'd almost forgotten just how practically useless Java's class abstraction is.
Entrenchment
I've been meaning to write a post about just why i went over to using a Macintosh, and I promise I will soon, but until then let me just say that there is a great deal of entrenchment in non-Mac camps (something I think I myself got rid of some years ago) as to what Macs are like, confusing the past with the present systems, mainly because they've never bothered to find out about the new.
Going back to the point however, this article [Starting All Over Again! | geek.com] was a reminder of just how entrenched in the old ways many long-term Mac users still are.
Get over it.
