And now back to the studio for an amusing story about kittens..

Right, now for an attempt at re-writing my earlier failed posting, this time in my editor of choice for less chance of crashes while opening other sites (modern browsers make me bawk).

I'm supposed to be revising, for my programming exam, which I don't really need to revise for but after I got a first for last semester's part of the module I've promised Andrea I'll try for the best I can on the whole module; I'm attempting to get my post/word-count up, and at the same time perhaps provide some useful info, or just a braindump, on the site.

I've been listening to some new music, mainly by a band called Sevendust, who I first heard on the Freddy vs. Jason soundtrack; some extremely nice vocals, backed by varying hard-to-soft guitar and drum renditions; just the sort of metal I need to revise to, however like many they do fall prey to the "screaming for screaming sake" at a few points, but this doesn't detract very heavily from the overall quality of the tracks; more bands today should follow the examples set by some of Disturbed's later work (such as "Prayer"), in which some vocal excursions in the realm of "is this my lungs I see before me, for I hath expunged them with the force of mine screams?", without sacrificing the lyrics, rhythm or harmony of the whole work.

Of course I could just be ranting out of posterior like I usual do, but oh well, who gives a rats arse?

I've been working on a special birthday surprise for Andrea, of course she reads this site every once in a while so she'll probably tease me to try and find out what it is, but that's part of the fun, especially since I'm not telling her! Let's just say this should be a rather special, different and interesting surprise indeed, she might hate it, but oh well, there'll be plenty more accompanying to make up for any hatred of said surprise.

My father's agreed, finally, to getting this rather nifty printer (scanner and fax as well), which I'll be ordering tonight from the Apple store; this should be a good companion to the camera I hope to get for my birthday, of course if I don't get the camera it'll still be damn handy (scanning for the GFB, printing for uni, faxing hatemail to lecturers..you know, the usual).

What the hell is going on?

Okay, first Darren's father, and now my good friend Josh gets the fun off mourning; my best wishes man, you'll make it through.

Not happy

I was going to make a post here, but Safari crashed while typing it, no longer can be bothered to type up everything I'd already done.

Blah! Not happy.
