I bit the bullet a little earlier than expected. I registered Opera 7 Beta 1 today as it would be cheaper registering now than getting an upgrade at full release, and its just such a great browser already that I wanted to keep supporting it.
The ad banner in the corners dropped, and I'm already using it as my main browser, but I have kept Opera 6.xx as my system default browser for the time being for more reliability.
