Well, my birthday in about 20 minutes, feels a bit strained to celebrate things this year somehow.

If anyone thought I was going to be getting lots of nice new shinies as a pay-off from the house insurance after the burglary, my father buggered up the application over the phone and actually managed to tell them we hadn't switched the alarm on.
No pay-out for us!

At least my new MacBook Pro arrived in time; it's odd living without an iPod after having an MP3 player with me for about 4 years (can't get used to using my 770 as one, too inconvenient to use most of the time).
